We are currently working on the date that we will be able to issue the Warm Home Discount payments to our customers - the payments can be applied to customers accounts at any point between now and March 2026, and as soon as we are able to we'll do so - we'll be letting our customers know when this payment will be arriving before it's applied.

Why is it taking so long to sort it out and apply it to the meters, we all need the help now when the weather is wet cold and miserable. Not later on in the time frame. Instead of supposedly giving fictional people prizes how about getting the WHD to those that need it now.

Thanks for your post. I understand your frustration in waiting for the Warm Home Discount being applied - I appreciate that it makes a real difference to the people that are able to receive it.
Traditionally the payments have always been made in December and January, and this is similar for most energy suppliers. As part of the scheme, all energy suppliers have until March 2026 to apply the credit, and there are a number of factors that come into play when we come to applying it. Utilita has one of the highest proportion of customers that are in receipt of the Warm Home Discount, so one of the biggest factors for us is making sure that we have the ability to apply it to all of those customers accounts at the same time.
Our competitions are managed by a completely different part of the business, and I can assure you that prizes are genuine, and there have been numerous winners over the time that we have run these competitions. Under GDPR laws, we're not allowed to specifically name people, but we do post regular updates on social media as to how many winners have won competitions. We have also recently started running our own, community exclusive competitions as well, so as you are a member of our community, you have extra chances of being a winner of one of these!

Thanks for your post. I understand and totally get your frustration! With the amount of changes to Warm Home Discount, it's important that we get it right first time for our customers - we appreciate that it's needed now, and we will absolutely be getting it out to our customers as soon as we can. I want to thank you for being so open on here - we're trying to build a place for our customers where they can say how they feel, so we can do our best to use that information to do better for our customers.

Thank you for your comments - as in previous posts, we can absolutely understand your frustration, and we've seen similar comments on other platforms.
Rest assured that this is absolutely not the case. We want to be able to make sure our customers receive the payments as soon as we possibly can. I mentioned in a post earlier in this thread that there are a few factors that we have to take into account when paying out the Warm Home Discount - we are a supplier that has one of the highest level of customers that are in receipt of the Warm Home Discount, so managing the payments in a way that means everyone gets it, and gets it right first time is SO important to us. As soon as we are in a position to get the payments onto peoples accounts, we'll be letting people know.
