Thanks for your post. I understand your frustration in waiting for the Warm Home Discount being applied - I appreciate that it makes a real difference to the people that are able to receive it.
Traditionally the payments have always been made in December and January, and this is similar for most energy suppliers. As part of the scheme, all energy suppliers have until March 2026 to apply the credit, and there are a number of factors that come into play when we come to applying it. Utilita has one of the highest proportion of customers that are in receipt of the Warm Home Discount, so one of the biggest factors for us is making sure that we have the ability to apply it to all of those customers accounts at the same time.
Our competitions are managed by a completely different part of the business, and I can assure you that prizes are genuine, and there have been numerous winners over the time that we have run these competitions. Under GDPR laws, we're not allowed to specifically name people, but we do post regular updates on social media as to how many winners have won competitions. We have also recently started running our own, community exclusive competitions as well, so as you are a member of our community, you have extra chances of being a winner of one of these!
