@Dean
Hi Dean,
That's lovely to hear you spent Christmas with your daughter. How was it?
I spent it with my parents, we watched lots of great movies, played board games and ate! It was a very welcomed break as this year has been a bit of a roller coaster.
Also Happy New Year!!!!
What did people do to celebrate? We watched Jools Holland which was really special.
Introduce yourself!

Hi! I'm Gunnersaurus.
I've previously been a customer with Utilita but I moved home and it seemed easier at the time to remain with my current supplier.
Topping up and such used to be much easier with your App & services. At my earliest opportunity I will be switching back!
I think this is a lovely idea to have a Community forum, I will be sure to let you guys know if I need any help switching.
Thank you! :) -

Hello @gunnersaurus - How are you? Welcome to the Community! That's so nice to hear your lovely feedback! As you have been in your new property a little while now, I would suggest just signing up the normal way via our website here: https://join.utilita.co.uk/
Shout if you have any more Qs π€

Hi all! I'm Abbey, I've been with Utilita for a couple of years as a smart pre-pay meter fixed multiple issues for me as someone who finds getting to the shop difficult (now basically impossible). I'm interested in computers as well as a lot of arts and crafts - sewing, quilting, hand embroidery. I'm currently doing an open university degree and I have a lovely cat who likes to poke her nose in everything I'm doing!
-

Hi @abbeym395 welcome to the Utilita Community :) Great that you're getting the benefits of the smart meter, yes getting out to do just about anything is a struggle at the moment. You're obviously extremely creative over a range of mediums and I bet it's a great hobby to have over the cold Winter months.

Hey @abbeym395 π How are you?
A very warm welcome to our new Utilita Community! So thrilled to have you as one of our new members.
I bet, especially in these circumstances! The app is so handy for being able to top-up remotely. I like to top-up from the comfort of my sofa whilst watching my favorite Netflix series π
That is such great news about your open university degree! Do you mind me asking what you are studying? I did a Marketing with HR degree & graduated in 2012, and loved it.
Sooo great to hear you are creative. We also have some like minded creatives here @watercolour @Tillymint @Storm
I know @Tillymint also loves cats! ππΊ what is he/she's name? You may like our festive pets post, lots of pictures of cute pets including cats! (and some of our members cats in the comments thread) here -

Hi @abbeym395 I have a sewing machine and have never used it because I just canβt thread the thing lol. I would desperately love to be able to use it. What type of cat do you have? Iβm not sure what breed my cat is but she is black and white and very fluffy.
π€ -
21-01-21abbeym395
@Russell Yeah, the hobbies help keep housebound-me sane!
My cats name is Ceefa :D She's a black, domestic shorthair (although on the long side of that) and a rescue who wouldn't let anyone near her for a very long time!
I'm doing Computing and IT, on my first module for now although nearly finished with it! It's been amazing as a source of purpose, even when stuck in hospital.
@Tillymint Sewing machines are definitely tricky beasts at first. See above about the cat! -
21-01-21Rebecca
abbeym395 Sounds so interesting and I am so glad to hear it's been a source of purpose, and I am sorry to hear you are/have been in hospital. Sending you the warmest wishes and speedy recovery. π
This Community should not phase you then π, in terms of it's layout and functionality. Forums are becoming more and more popular again. I am 31 and they always seemed a bit antient when I was younger but a lot of companies are adapting to using these as a place to create a customer community, which is such a lovely idea, we are excited for this to grown and evolve!
I can see your cat in your profile image now, she is beautiful π

@abbeym395 hope you are ok and home from hospital soon. I think I just need some patience with the sewing machine π€£
Love your cats name, my cat is called Mollie and she is a bit of a princess but very cuddly! -
21-01-21abbeym395
Patience is definitely needed! I'm home from hospital right now, I just spent an inordinate amount of time up there - and even if I'm not in there, I'm generally having an argument with at least one specialist.

I also have 3 cats one is called sniffles, sniffles n bell all black n white

Hello @1957 π
We are SO thrilled to have you as a new member, and it's really nice to hear a little more about you!
I can only imagine what having your lovely dog has done for you in these trying times. It seems we are near the end and that there is finally some kind of light at the end of the tunnel now.
What is your dogs name and breed? I am dog mad, my husband will not agree to get one, so I basically stalk every one of the local dogs any time I go on my daily walk.
Wow, over ten years is a very long time, we're really pleased to hear that you have been such a loyal customer. Taking this into consideration, we would love you to post a brand new thread letting us know what you think about Utilita and I suppose you have seen our product and service develop over such a long time, for example the introduction of the My Utilita App! You can do this here
We'd also love to hear how you're getting on with our new community, what you think of it and if there is anything missing that you'd like to see, that we could add?
I really look forward to chatting to you more Eric and I know our community members do too!
Please feel free to drop me a direct message if you need anything at all!

Hi @DameFrench a very very warm welcome! π
Love to hear that we have another long term customer here. Your input and opinions on our community will be absolutely valued. π
It's so great to hear that you are enjoying it and that you think it's a good idea. We wanted a place for our customers (and non customers) to talk one on one and give each other support and help - as well as chat about Utilita and non-Utilita topics.
We really look forward to hearing more from you Brooke! π€
Please do drop me a direct message anytime if you have any questions etc.

Hi my name is Kelly,
I have been a customer with Utilita for 6 years now. The only problem I have had is the ongoing one I have now, my meters are not reading so they donβt connect to my app. I have to manually top them up into my meters using a 16 digit code this isnβt ideal as sometimes I forget and my energy runs out. I have been trying for over 6 months to get something done about this but every time I contact through email or phone I am told I will be contacted to resolve this matter. This has still not been resolved and I have not been contacted. I added a thread yesterday but Iβm not sure how to work this yet so I hope this one works. Thanks in advance. -
15-03-21Rebecca
A really big warm welcome @KPJ - and it is wonderful to hear you have been a customer for so long and not had any problems until now.
Oh no, I am so sorry that no one has got back to you. That does not sound ideal. If it was your In-Home Display not connecting to your main meters then I would suspect it would be a 're-bind' solution. Where an agent has to manually reconnect them via our customer database internally here at Utilita. As it seems your smart meters are the issue at hand then it's a bit of a head scratcher.
I'll drop you a direct message now π
In the meantime, where abouts in the UK are you and what are your hobbies/interests, we'd love to know! π€

I have sent you a Direct Message on here, so do check your inbox (envelop on the top of the home page on the right hand side).
Thanks,

Hi @KPJ welcome. I also love nature and animals. Living semi-rural I am lucky enough to see lots of birds when I look out my windows and we get regulars that come for the food I put out for them. Sadly wildlife on the ground is very sparse, perhaps because of the houses and the motorway we have close by. Do you have any wild animals in your local area? -

Good afternoon from sleepy Bromsgrove.
I am a long time resident in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
I guess my hobbies would be aquatics/aquariums and anything to do with technology. I love my Mac and I suppose I could be called a "geek". π€£ -

I am also part of a community called Microsoft Windows insider program. I get to test the latest windows updates before they are released to the public. I am also testing windows 11 beta preview. I am basically looking for bugs and such in the programβs before Windows 11 is released. Well that enough about me for now.
