Why such a hold up with smart meters? Also as I am paying monthly can I access if I'm in credit or debit

Is it a smart meter install you are waiting on, or a In-Home Display? If I know which one I can sort that for you!
If you are pay monthly but in pre-payment mode then you should indeed be able to see your balance on the main meter by pushing button B on the keypad, or your In-Home Display will also display your balance too!

I want to know my balance on my gas account not my electric.my electric is a prepay meter which I wanted changing

I have the same problem that my in home meter has packed up but when I come to phone to get a new one was told you didn’t have any and I was not a priority. Was not happy considering I have two children !

Hi @Nigelflint - we have more back in now, so if you pop me your customer ref number and full address in a private mail to me, I will get one out to you :-)
You cab also download the My Utilita App which will start to show a near accurate estimated balance and you can also top-up in a flash on it!
