How come Utilita haven’t joined the national grid scheme that starts today between 5pm and 6pm you always bang on about smart meters are better the futures but we are now missing out on an opportunity to save a few quid

from what I heard was for some very odd reason Utilita meters are still the older version 1 ones. The newer version 2 meters are compatible, which I presume other suppliers on this scheme are using. I did read that OFGEM have fined (or threatened to) Utilita for not upgrading their meter to v2. But don’t know how true this is. Maybe Utilita can enlighten us on both questions.

@davidjtaylor75 very strange considering they bang on about being the future of smart meters they seem fine sponsoring every other football team in the leagues and can’t upgrade there system another profit before customer scam😂

@cricko80 Hi there - we are in the process of rolling this out to a controlled group of selected trial customers as a trial run and we will widen this group once we know it's successful and working properly 😊

@Rebecca it’s still a poor effort from Utilita seeing as you keep pushing smart meter on people then we find out the ones we have are useless
