Can you appeal an unsuccessful application for warm home discount, i always get accepted and my circumstances have not changed

Thanks for your post.

In Scotland, the Warm Home Discount works differently to the rest of the UK, in that we have a limited amount of funding that is provided. The total amount of people who are eligible for Warm Home Discount payments in Scotland are entered into a ballot, so unfortunately each year some people won't be successful in receiving the payment.

Given that it's a ballot, unfortunately there is no way of appealing an unsuccessful application. We, along with other energy providers, are in constant negotiation with the Government to request more support so that we can help everyone in Scotland that is eligible to receive the Warm Home Discount.

I'm really sorry that I'm not able to give you better news at this point, but we'll always do what we can to help in other ways, so it may be worth giving our team a call to see what support is available.
