Something to note is that the scheme structure has changed this year...
The scheme gives a one-off payment of £150 to households that may need a little extra support over the winter months. However, as mentioned, this year the government announced some BIG change, which is important to take on board and familiarise yourself with:
Households in England & Wales no longer need to apply
There are two eligible groups: Core Group 1 and Core Group 2
Core Group 2 will need to meet the eligibility criteria set by Ofgem, plus the new ‘high energy cost’ rules
