I have just had a smart meter installed and have noticed that the number on my electric top up card is different from the number on the E top-up that can be generated on the my utilita app.

I would advise to get in contact with customer services on 0330 333 7442 or via the live chat here. If there is conflicting information on the card and app you could try uninstalling and re-installing the app to push through any updates. If the numbers still do not match please contact customer services before attempting to top up.

You will need to speak to someone in customer services for a refund. The number is in my previous response and they are open until 8pm during the week and 5pm Saturday.
