    January

    January 9th – February 6th African Cup of Nations
    - The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations is the 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial international men's football championship of Africa organised by the Confederation of African Football, the current holders Algeria defend their title in Cameroon this year.

    January 17th – January 30th Australia Open
    - The Australian Open is a tennis tournament held annually over the last fortnight of January at Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia. The tournament is the first of the four Grand Slam tennis events held each year, preceding the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open.

    February 4th – February 20th Beijing Winter Olympics
    - The Winter Olympic Games is a major international multi-sport event held once every four years for sports practiced on snow and ice. Beijing are the hosts for this year’s games with this being the first winter Olympics held in China.

    February 5th – March 19th Six Nations
    - The Six Nations Championship is an annual international men's rugby union competition between the teams of England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. The current champions are Wales, who won the 2021 tournament.

    February 27th Carabao Cup Final
    - Liverpool play Chelsea in this years League Cup Final at Wembley with the winners guaranteed European football for the coming football season.

    March 4th – March 13th Beijing Winter Paralympics
    - Beijing will become the first city to host both the Summer and Winter Paralympics. The 2022 Winter Paralympics will be the first Winter Paralympics held in China and the second overall Paralympics in China after the Beijing 2008 Summer Paralympics.

    March 4th – April 13th ODI Women’s World Cup
    - The ICC Women's Cricket World Cup is the sport's oldest world championship, with the first tournament held in England in 1973. Matches are played as One Day Internationals over 50 overs; this year’s tournament is held in New Zealand. The England women’s team will be trying to hold onto their trophy as they’re current holders winning the last tournament in 2017.

    - Scotland take on Ukraine, Wales play Austria and Italy face Portugal meaning one of the two favourites will not be at this years cup.

    April 7th – April 10th Golf Masters
    - The 86th Masters will be the first of four major golf tournaments held in 2022, the winners will receive the infamous green jacket in Augusta, Georgia.

    April 9th Grand National
    - Held Annually at Aintree in Liverpool the event has been going since 1839, with horses jumping 30 fences over two laps. It is the most valuable jump race in Europe, with a prize fund of ÂŁ1 million in 2017. An event that is prominent in British culture, the race is popular amongst many people who do not normally watch or bet on horse racing at other times of the year.

    - Mark Shelby will be competing to retain his Championship from last year in Sheffield with this being the biggest snooker event of the year.

    May 14th Fa Cup Final
    - Footballs oldest tournament finishes at Wembley for its 141th iteration, can the magic of the Fa Cup set up a giant killing final?

    May 22nd – June 5th French Open

    The French Open, also known as Roland-Garros, is a major tennis tournament held over two weeks at the Stade Roland-Garros in Paris, France, beginning in late May each year. The tournament and venue are named after the French aviator Roland Garros. The French Open is the premier clay court championship in the world.

    May 22nd Premier League Season Ends

    - As of right now Manchester City lead the way in the Premier League but with a few months to go anything can happen, on the opposite scale Newcastle hope to stay up this season with an influx of cash injected into the club thanks to new ownership.

    May 26th Europa League Final

    - Europe’s secondary club football tournament will be hosted in Budapest this year at the Puskas arena for its 51st Season.

    May 28th Champions League Final

    - The 2022 UEFA Champions League Final will be the final match of the 2021–22 UEFA Champions League, the 67th season of Europe's premier club football tournament organised by UEFA, this year’s final is set to be in St Petersburg, Russia at the Gazprom Arena.

    May 29th Championship Play off Final

    - With the chance for Promotion to arguably the biggest and strongest league in world football, the Play off final is one of the biggest fixtures of the EFL Calendar.

    - The ICC Men's T20 World Cup is the international championship of Twenty20 cricket. Organised by cricket's governing body, the International Cricket Council, the tournament currently consists of 16 teams with Australia the current holders of the cup.

    November 18th – December 18th FIFA World Cup
    - Qatar hosts their first ever World Cup with this also being the first FIFA World Cup not to be held in the summer months.
