This event was held at the Valley, the home of Charlton Athletic and this year the Utilita Kids and Girls Cup was launched with the support of former Arsenal midfield maestro, Jack Wilshere himself. Alongside ex-England international turned Pundit, Karen Carney.
One of the biggest school’s football tournaments held across England & Wales, will see over 22,000 school kids participate for the chance of a lifetime to take part in the finals at Wembley Stadium. All parties involved were complete with natural smiles and good vibes all around the event. It was a great sporting event that will go a long way in helping to develop and support the young talent.
About 2,700 schools have registered to take part in this year’s competition, which kicked off this month.
For the launch, we had pupils from Ealdham Primary School receiving a coaching masterclass from Carney & Wilshere as well as having a few snaps with their football idols!
Jack & Karen also took part in Utilita Football’s Energy High 5 ‘5 things, 5 seconds’ challenge. There will be more to follow on this in the coming weeks on our website and Community!
As you may be aware Utilita are involved with the Prince’s Trust foundation, and this December there will be a further announcement regarding items given to us from our Utilita partner clubs, such as signed shirts and signed balls etc. Following this, there will be an Auction for you to get involved in. Keep an eye on our future posts as there will be more details to follow.
