How come utilita customers have to wait till the 28th January for the payment when other people have already received it on receipt of the letter

We're getting a lot of questions at the moment about the Warm Home Discount, and we understand that people want to know what's happening - we've got some fantastic posts about this already on the community - I'd recommend having a read here to begin with. However, we will start paying the WHD out from the 7th January 2026, and all payments should be made by the 26th at the very latest.

Don't forget it's actually colder in January so the £150 will help but even if we had it earlier it would soon be gone with this government's green taxes..
And also don't forget those other companies are charging a standing charge of over £150 a year per meter 👀..
Britain has the highest electricity costs because of liberal elites in government who think nut zero is a good idea..
we certainly ARE better off with utilita annually...
