Utilita claimed to have sent me the vouchers via email on 19/01/26. Nobody told me that they would be sent this way; the most recent communication from Utilita said that they would be sent via post. So there's another fail on Utilita's part right there.
In any event, they were not emailed to me on the 19th. I check my emails several times a day, and never delete them without first checking the contents (including emails in my spam folder). I performed an 'all folders' search (which includes the 'Deleted' folder), and there was nothing from Utilita on that date. The only emails that dont show up in this search are ones that have been permanently deleted (the 'Deleted' folder is a bit like the desktop Recycle Bin in that items can be retrieved/restored from it) - but permanently deleting an email involves another step.
The chances that I would have both missed this email and permanently deleted it are negligible.
Furthermore, when I did receive the vouchers, they were in two emails, not one single email (each email had a £75 voucher). Assuming this is how they were (purportedly) sent to me originally, the likelihood of me missing two emails and permanently deleting them is lower still.
So, whilst I am grateful to PeteC (Community Manager) for finally resolving this matter, I strongly contest his claim that Utilita originally sent them to me on the 19th. Beyond the mere claim, Utilita has not furnished me with evidence to back this up (such as an email from them to me dated 19/01/26 with a 'Read' receipt), and, in view of the numerous other customer service failures and supply/account problems I experienced whilst with them - on top of the reasons given above - I can very confidently state that I never received an email (or two emails) from Utilita, dated 19/01/26, containing my WHD vouchers.
Utilita have at least displayed remarkable consistency by managing to get things wrong even after I've left them!
Anyway, I'm done here. I can finally put all things Utilita - this thread included - behind me.
