We’ve seen an increase in scam messages about the Warm Home Discount. Please keep these important points in mind:

• You do not need to apply for this payment in England or Wales.
• The Government and Ofgem will never contact you by text or email asking for your bank details.
• Official letters about the Warm Home Discount are sent only by post from the DWP.
• Avoid clicking on links in suspicious emails or texts. You can identify a legitimate email from us because it will always include your Customer Reference Number.
