Our application window is re-opening

There’s still a chance to apply for the Warm Home Discount scheme if you missed out earlier. We’ve secured extra funding which has made it possible for us to re-open our application window.
The Warm Home Discount offers a £150 payment towards your energy bills this winter. If you’re in the Broader Group, you’ll need to apply each year to be considered.

How to apply:

The application window will open on 17 October 2025 and will now close on the 29 October 2025.

Please remember, not everyone who applies will receive the payment. Successful applications are selected at random using a process reviewed and approved by Ofgem - making sure the selection is fair.

When will I know if I’m successful?

If your application is successful, we’ll let you know by December.
Remember - not all applications will be successful. Unfortunately, not everyone who is eligible will receive the payment. Energy regulator Ofgem approves the way successful applicants are randomly selected so that its fair – our process is a random draw of all eligible applicants.

As with previous years, Utilita does not benefit from any Warm Home Discount payments that go unclaimed. Any unclaimed amount will go towards next year’s Warm Home Discount scheme.

Remember to check your details

It's really important your details are up to date with us. Specifically, your name must be same with us, and with the DWP. If your name changes, or there's a mismatch - you need to let us and the DWP know asap. If there's inconsistencies, it could affect your payment. If you need to update your details, the easiest way to do this is via My Utilita.
