@Lewislay I rang citizens advice and they put me through to the complaints department of utilita in seconds. They have a direct line to them. They switched me over to credit mode while I was on the phone to them! Literally was speaking to someone in citizens advice abd they put me straight through to Kelly at utilita and she switched me over immediately. We were talking on the phone and she did it while I was talking to her. My smart meter beeped and it was a message saying I was on credit mode. All done dead quick on the phone. Call the free phone citizens advice number and select the energy option and tell the advisor you can't get through to make the change and can they put you through to the utilita complaints team. 😉

@Lewislay I moved into my flat last week and I called citizens advice on the Thursday morning. Just make sure you tell them that you've been trying to get through to utilita and you've been unable to. Say you know that they have a direct connection yo utilita complaints department and can they put you through. Let me know how you get on.

@Lewislay Hi Lewis, to change your meter mode you do indeed need to speak to an advisor as they will need to do some data protection checks and go through some security and compliance checks with you - as it will be a significant change on the account.

Sorry you could not get through - I would day 10:30 - 11am is a good time to call. Monday's are always very busy on the phone lines.

    Thanks,
    Rebecca
