    Hi there,
I have been with Utilita since February 2024 and live in a 1 bed flat with storage heaters.
I work 2 jobs just to basically get by each month.

I have never used my water heater as I'm out the majority of the time and often sleepover at work which means that I'm barely using electricity. I have an electric shower.

Now that it's getting really cold I am struggling to heat my flat and with the increased electricity costs I wondered if anyone could recommend a low cost effective portable heater that doesn't cost the Earth?

Any suggestions/advise would be much appreciated.
    thank you.

@lubymaria Hi there and welcome to the Community! πŸ€—

That is a very good question, which I am sure other member would also love to know, especially now as it's getting cooler.

I found this helpful article from 'Which' which are an accredited body and who do the thorough research on these things.

@lubymaria I am so pleased! There were some quite reasonably priced ones on there!
It's always cheaper to heat the room rather that the whole home. Just not as fun when you leave that room! πŸ˜„

If you are only heating one room, it may also be a good idea to get a cheap thermometer to keep track of the temperature in the room you are heating, and then you know when to stop using it/when it's reached ample temperature!

I would love to know how you get on! Please keep me and the rest of the community posted on what one you go for and how it is when you start using it! πŸ€—πŸ˜Š
