Next week Kenilworth Road will open its doors to the public for five days in a ground-breaking new community project, powered by front-of-shirt partner Utilita Energy.

The ground will become the UK’s first football stadium to operate as a ‘Warm Hub’ during the week, inviting residents into its hospitality lounges.

From Monday 22nd January until Friday 26th the Eric Morecambe Lounge and John Moore Lounge will see a team of Energy Experts from Utilita on hand to give tailored energy efficiency advice to those who want it between 9am and 5pm.

Those interested can simply turn up on the day and spend as long as they wish at the Hub. Anyone is welcome to utilise the space – even if they are simply in need of somewhere warm to spend the day, or wanting to speak with someone over a cup of tea to combat loneliness.

Hatters commercial director Chris Bell said: “We look forward to welcoming supporters and local residents to Kenilworth Road with the support of our main club partner Utilita.

“The Kenny is a special place where people come together to share experiences on a matchday, we have seen some incredible days and nights in recent years.

“We will be opening lounges in the stadium as a place for members of our community to connect.

“We will provide a welcoming space to chat with refreshments, plus the chance to win special prizes donated by Utilita.”

Bill Bullen, CEO at Utilita, said: “Our partnership with Luton has always been about more than just football, and the club have facilitated our community efforts from day one.

“The Warm Hub is our next step together and I’m delighted we can offer a space that has something for everyone - from residents needing bespoke advice on their energy usage, to those who just want somewhere warm and friendly to spend the day.

“We will have the kettle on ready, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you in.”

Utilita and Luton are also offering residents the chance to win exclusive prizes this month.

During the week of the initiative a team of the supplier’s agents will be based in the town and surrounding areas, offering Hatters-themed rewards to those who sign up with Utilita.

This includes matchday hospitality tickets to Premier League games at Kenilworth Road, signed memorabilia, and more.
