    Whilst they say no standing charge, there is because I always use more than 1kw.

    My query is, it is the first 1 or 2 kW that are charged at the higher rate?

    My tariff info says it's the first 1 but also says it's the first 2...

    @EdWhite Hi there 👋

    Can I just check whether you have rang up and spoken to an adviser about this?

    They will be able to bring your account up and look into your account on a deeper level to understand this and best explain it to you.

    Thanks,
    Rebecca

    It's all very confusing. I did an enquiry with the Energy Ombudsman and it is still not clear. It seems that published tariff, IHD cost display and actual bill can differ.

    However we do not pay any standing charge in months when we use either no electricity or no gas at all.
