An iconic venue that attracts global superstars and vibrant crowds to the Welsh capital is to be given a fresh identity, thanks to an impactful new partnership with Utilita Energy.

Cardiff International Arena, the city’s largest purpose-built live music and events venue, will now be known as the Utilita Arena Cardiff.

The arena will give Utilita - the only firm of its kind to specialise in smart prepay energy - an established foothold in Wales.

This will allow the supplier to reach local communities and help thousands of households revolutionise the way they use energy, ultimately teaching them to spend less on their bills.

The company is renowned for using their partnerships as a force for good across the UK. Educating people with industry-leading advice through their multi-award-winning High 5 campaign is just one of the many ways Utilita can make a difference to regular people (see more on High 5 here: https://utilita.co.uk/campaigns/high5).

Utilita’s charity partner, Utilita Giving, will also play a key part in the new deal, locally supporting those impacted by fuel and food poverty through fundraising, grants and expert advice.

Jem Maidment, Chief Marketing Officer at Utilita, said:

“It’s an absolute honour to see our name above the door to one of the UK’s greatest venues.

"As well as providing our customers here with fantastic opportunities to see some world-class shows, we will use this partnership to become a staple part of the local community.

“This isn’t just about the music, comedy, and performances – we want our presence to be felt through the crucial support that we, and our charity partner Utilita Giving, can offer.

“It seems our timing is apt, as recent data shows 55% of people in Wales believe their home isn’t energy efficient.

“Cardiff, we are really motivated to spread our support now that we are here, and we will make a difference.”

Utilita is no stranger to the live performance scene. The company is the naming rights partner at arenas in Newcastle, Birmingham and Sheffield, and has previously worked with music festivals including Parklife, Creamfields and Bestival.

“We’re delighted to welcome Utilita Energy as our naming rights partner for Cardiff International Arena," said Graham Walters COO, Live Nation "We're looking forward to working together to develop and strengthen new relationships in the city through this exciting new venture.”

Utilita customers should also keep an eye out for weekly ticket giveaways for some of the top shows the arena has to offer.
