For those who may not be familiar, Pancake Day, also known as Shrove Tuesday, is a traditional Christian holiday that falls on the day before Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent. The day is meant to be a time of reflection and repentance, where people would use up all of their rich foods like sugar and eggs before the fasting period of Lent began.

But for most of us, Pancake Day is an opportunity to enjoy a delicious stack of fluffy pancakes with all the toppings. Whether you prefer classic lemon and sugar, or something a little more adventurous like Marmite and cheese, there's a pancake out there for everyone.
