    Good evening,

    Could anybody out there in the community tell me how can there can be a £6 discrepancy between my in home display and my app for my gas, which one do I believe and why?

    @Trevor Hi there - Your In-Home Display will always be more accurate - as it is in direct communication with your main smart meter - the My Utilita app is an estimate - and gets more accurate the more it gets used to your top-up habits and smart meter usage algorithms. However, it will never be spot on - which is stated in the terms of use 😊

    Thanks for your reply and I get the fact it is possibly down to algorithms, but come on a £6 discrepancy is rather a lot, just say for example I was in hospital and didn’t have access to my in home display and the app was telling me that I have £6 less in credit than is actually on the meter, it’s not very good is is it, I might put my last fiver on the meter only to find there was no need for me to top it up, it really isn’t good enough now is it.

    I somehow can’t shake the feeling that we as customers are being taken for a ride just to swell Utilita’s bank account.

    I'm having the same problem, every month my bill is massively different to what's on my in home display....every month I have to phone up and email pictures...I'm so sick of this company ...
